Organizing A Food Drive
Community food drives are a very important source of resources for Foothills Food Bank. Throughout the year, and before major holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter, many organizations, large and small, organize food drives. If you are interested in organizing a food drive, you can follow these simple steps. For ideas on what kinds of food to collect, take a look at our current Wish List
It is helpful for us to learn of your intent as soon as possible, even if you have not yet determined the details of your food drive plans. We have experience with what works best and will assist you with your planning.
Please contact us before you do a Food Drive because we are very happy to coordinate it you with it.
Please do not appear without a call and unexpected because this can cause problems for our staff who may not be available for a food pickup on short notice or with no notice.
Here is the information we need to get started:
- Organization Name (if appropriate)
- Name of Contact Person
- Email of Contact Person
- Phone number of Contact Person
- Planned Date(s) of Drive
- Planned Date(s) of food delivery or pickup
Once you send this information to us, we will contact you quickly to find out how we can assist you with the drive and, if necessary, schedule a pickup of the goods you collect.
