Becoming a volunteer at the Foothills Food Bank
Community Service Volunteers at the Foothills Food Bank
Community service is for students who are required to accumulate hours for a school requirement or for individuals who have a court-ordered requirement.
**NOTE: Community service volunteers must be able to lift 30-40 pounds and stand on their feet for 3 or more hours. If you cannot do this, this may not be the volunteer opportunity for you.
Please also note that all students under 13 must be accompanied by an adult during their volunteer shifts. Both the student and his/her guardian must fill out volunteer applications at the Food Bank before they are eligible to work. You cannot be scheduled until both applications are received.
Community Service hours can be during the week or on Saturday mornings from 8:00 A.M. – 11:30 A.M., depending on the needs of the food bank and your schedule.
Click either “COMMUNITY SERVICE APPLICATION FOR STUDENT“, “COMMUNITY SERVICE APPLICATION FOR PARENTS OF STUDENTS” or “APPLICATION FOR COURT ORDERED COMMUNITY SERVICE” to download a copy. There are two separate applications, and each includes the required volunteer liability waiver form. Please make sure you are submitting the correct one.
Please note that you CANNOT fill out these forms online and submit them, because the forms require a signature to be valid. Please print, fill out, sign and turn in the forms through one of the methods below.
To return the form to us you can:
1) Scan and email the completed form to email@example.com;
2) Or, drop it off at the Food Bank;

Additionally, work behavior standards must be followed each time you are in the Food Bank. Failure to do so will result in volunteer activities being terminated.
