Becoming a volunteer at the Foothills Food Bank

If you are interested in volunteering at the Food Bank we’d love to meet you!  We host orientation sessions monthly at the Hidden Valley Cave Creek location.
The Spring Sessions coming up are March 29th and April 17th at 4:00 p.m. at the food bank.  In order to attend one of these training days, you MUST register with us beforehand. You may do so by calling us or stopping by our facility. You may call us at (480) 488-1145 during our business hours if you have any further questions about becoming a volunteer.

Community Service Volunteers at the Foothills Food Bank

Community service is for students who are required to accumulate hours for a school requirement or for individuals who have a court-ordered requirement.

**NOTE: Community service volunteers must be able to lift 30-40 pounds and stand on their feet for 3 or more hours. If you cannot do this, this may not be the volunteer opportunity for you.

Please also note that all students under 13 must be accompanied by an adult during their volunteer shifts. Both the student and his/her guardian must fill out volunteer applications at the Food Bank before they are eligible to work. You cannot be scheduled until both applications are received.

Community Service hours can be during the week or on Saturday mornings from 8:00 A.M. – 11:30 A.M., depending on the needs of the food bank and your schedule.
